Pouchu: “Granny! Granny!”
Granny: “What is it now, Pouchu?”
Pouchu: “There’s something in the pouch!”
Granny: “There usually is.”
Pouchu: “But this time it’s something special!”
Granny: “Hmm… I think you’re right.”
Something has been happening at Granny’s house.
Books have been organising.
Stories have been gathering.
Pouchu has been poking his nose into everything.
And Granny has been making lists.
Lots and lots of lists.
Something new is taking shape at Granny’s Pouch.
We are putting together the first version of the website, with its basic structure and the beginnings of what we hope will become a wonderful place for readers and story-lovers.
Our plan is to have the basic Granny’s Pouch website ready by Ganesha Chaturthi.
It won’t be finished — not really.
Granny’s Pouch is meant to grow and evolve. More books will find their way in, more stories will gather, and more corners will slowly take shape.
But every journey needs a beginning.
And this will be ours.
Granny’s Pouch is being created as a place to discover books for every kind of reader — books to read, look at, listen to, wonder about, laugh over, and return to again.
Meet Granny
Granny loves books, has opinions about them, and is always curious about what might be hiding between the covers.
Meet Pouchu
Pouchu loves stories, asks questions, notices things Granny sometimes misses — and is always ready for a little mischief.
Together…
Granny and Pouchu don’t always agree about books.
And that’s rather the point.
Sometimes Granny discovers something Pouchu hadn’t noticed.
Sometimes Pouchu sees something Granny had overlooked.
They read, wonder, disagree, discover and learn together.
And that’s how Granny’s Pouch grows.
The pouch isn’t quite full yet.
The shelves aren’t quite finished.
And Granny and Pouchu still have plenty of work to do.
Pouchu: “So, Granny… shall we show them what’s in the pouch?”
Granny: “Not yet, Pouchu.”
Pouchu: “Why not?”
Granny: “Because you might give everything away!”
Pouchu: “Ohhh…”
Granny: “Come along. We have books to explore.”
Meanwhile, at Granny’s Pouch, the Book Corner is taking shape…
The first books are finding their way in.
And soon, we’ll be ready to show you what they’ve found.
And Granny has been busy in the kitchen too.
Things are still a little messy while she gets everything together.
But slowly, everything finds its place.
Granny: “And Pouchu… good things are coming to Granny’s Pouch. 🐸📚 Stay tuned!”
There will be books.
There will be stories.
There will be Granny’s opinions.
There will be Pouchu’s opinions.
And, knowing Pouchu…
probably a little mischief. 🐸
